Saliva: The Magic Potion “Hands-on”
Course objectives:
- Review the underlying conditions/causalities leading to hyposalivation and recognize its negative consequences if left untreated.
- Practice the detection/diagnostic methods for confirming hyposalivation.
- Familiarize with the most updated preventive and management approaches to help patients with hyposalivation.

Dr. Siri Beier Jensen
DDS, PhD
Bio:
Dr. Siri Beier Jensen graduated as a DDS from University of Copenhagen School of Dentistry in 1998 and PhD (Oral complications induced by cancer therapies) in 2006.
Dr. Jensen is a Steering Committee Member of the World Workshop on Oral Medicine and Board Member (Chairperson) of Acta Odontologica Scandinavica Society. Her research focus on salivary gland dysfunction and oral complications of cancer therapies. She is a University teaching competencies in oral medicine, oral physiology, gross anatomy and dissection of head/neck and central nervous system on a pre- and postgraduate level, and practicing oral medicine in a university referral clinic.
Currently, Dr. Siri Beier Jensen is an Associate Professor in Oral Medicine and the Dean/Head of the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, Faculty of Health, Aarhus University, Denmark.
