Laser in Oro-facial, pedo-ortho and general dentistry practices “Hands-on”
Course Objectives:
- Understand the basics of laser treatments, laser physics and laser tissue interactions
- Learn about the laser safety and how to properly achieve clinical laser applications

- Understand laser biophysics
- How lasers use in dentistry
- Use of laser with safety for patient and dental team

Dr. Saleh Alghabban
BDS, MSc, PhD
Bio:
Dr. Saleh Alghabban is a Senior Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, trained at the Royal London Hospital in 1993 on the use of laser in dentistry. He obtained his MSc degree and PhD from London University, in comparison of laser wavelengths applications.
Dr. Alghabban awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef for laser activities. Offered the invention medal of Ministry of Interior. He was the former Head of Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Security Forces Hospital and the Former WFLD representor in Saudi Arabia.
Currently, Dr. Alghabban is working in Medicolase Centre, as the 1st Dentist in Middle East with laser experience of 30 years. He is providing laser courses locally and internationally.
Dr. Youssef Sedky
BDS, MSc, PhD
Bio:
Dr. Youssef Sedky is specialized in Orthodontics where he received his MSc. & Ph.D. Later he got his mastership in ‘lasers in Dentistry’ then he received his MSc. Degree from RWTH, Aachen University.
Currently Dr. Sedky works as an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics and the Head of the Dental Laser Center at Misr International University. He is an academic co-worker with Aachen Dental Laser Center, where he lectures in the mastership & Master of Science programs. Dr.Sedky is an executive board member in the International Society for Lasers in Dentistry and member of the Egyptian Orthodontic Society.
