A Restorative Driven Path to Endodontics Excellence “Hands-on”
Course Objectives:
- Discuss the biologic science behind predictable success in non-surgical root canal treatment
- Understand how advancements in metallurgy and instrument design have been combined to create a shaping system which adheres to a philosophy focused on dentin preservation
- Understand the concept of pericervical dentin conservation
- Understand the attributes of various irrigating solutions and advanced delivery and activation tools which take advantage of recent material advancements to combat bacteria
- Discuss the fundamentals of the dental operating microscope.
- Realize the merits of working under magnification and illumination

Prof. Khaled Balto
BDS, DMSc.
Bio:
Prof. Khaled Balto graduated from King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Dentistry in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. He earned a Clinical Certificate of Endodontics and a degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from Harvard University, School of Dental Medicine. He received the Krakow Award from Harvard University for outstanding research, clinical achievements and professionalism.
Currently, he is a Professor and Consultant of Endodontics at King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Dentistry in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
