Root resorption Management (Hands-on)
This hands-on course is designed for dental professionals seeking to enhance their understanding and skills in the management of root resorption. Participants will engage in practical sessions focusing on the etiology, clinical identification, and therapeutic options for various types of root resorption, including internal, inflammatory, and invasive cervical resorption. Utilizing specialized models, attendees will practice both surgical and non-surgical techniques essential for effective treatment. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in managing this condition. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to confidently diagnose and treat root resorption in their clinical practice.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the etiology and biological processes that lead to root resorption.
- Identify the types of root resorption through clinical and radiological evaluations to improve the diagnostic capability of this condition.
- Explore the available therapeutic options to treat the different types of root resorption, including conservative and surgical approaches.
- Evaluate clinical cases: By the end of the course, participants will be able to analyze and assess real clinical cases of root resorption and propose appropriate treatment.

Bio:
Dr. Paula Villa is an endodontist graduated from Universidad CES in Medellin, Colombia. She is cofounder of the graduated endodontic program in Universidad de Antioquia, where she is a Titular Professor. Dr. Villa is the former president of the Colombian Association of Endodontists, she has authored scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has her private practice limited to Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery in Medellín, Colombia.
