Minimally Invasive Restoration of Severe Tooth Wear with Direct Composite Restorations
Course Objectives:
Abstract-
- Concept of localized or complete build-up of occlusion with direct composite restorations.
- Planning using (digital) study models, intra-oral and extra-oral pictures, and a (digital) diagnostic wax-up.
- The techniques for direct composite build-up will be discussed, including freehand modeling, composite build-up using a silicone index, and the injectable flowable technique.
- Discussion on the durability of such restorations will be covered.
- Hands-on session: Participants will restore 4 worn posterior teeth with composite to the correct occlusal height, Build up using a transparent silicone key and a conventional composite; and the injectable flowable technique.
