Dr. Ahmed Mahrous

BDS, MS, FACP | USA

Dr. Ahmed Mahrous is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist and faculty member at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Pharos University in Egypt and completed both his Certificate in Prosthodontics and Master’s in Oral Science at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics. Dr. Mahrous serves in national leadership roles within the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and the American Dental Association (ADA). He is the current Editor-in-Chief of The ACP Messenger and a lead editor for the 14th edition of McCracken’s Removable Partial Prosthodontics. He is widely published in the fields of digital dentistry, removable prosthodontics, and educational innovation, and has lectured nationally on these topics. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Mahrous owns and operates a private prosthodontic practice in Chandler, Arizona, where he focuses on implant, esthetic, and comprehensive restorative care.

Dr. João Gaspar

DDS, MSc, PhD | Portugal

Dr. João Gaspar earned his dental degree from Egas Moniz School of Health and Science in Portugal in 2012. Since then, Dr. Gaspar has been engaged in clinical research in implant dentistry in the same University, where he is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Surgery and Head of Implantology Consultation. In 2024, Dr. João Gaspar concluded his PhD in Biomedical Sciences, with the thesis "Comparison between osseodensification and conventional osteotomy protocol for implant site preparation". He is author and co-author of several publications and lectures nationally and internationally on surgical implantology procedures and oral rehabilitation.

Dr. Johan Aps

DDS, MSc Ped. Dent, MSc DMFR, PhD | Belgium

Dr. Aps obtained a DDS (1993), a MSc in Pediatric Dentistry (1997) and a PhD (2002) from Ghent University (Belgium) and a MSc in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology (2008) from London University (UK). He worked as faculty at the Ghent University (Belgium), University of Washington (Seattle, USA), University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia), Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (Ghent, Belgium) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Brussels, Belgium). He is founder-owner of Opinident (Belgium) and is currently Professional Scientific Relations Sr. Manager with Procter&Gamble®. He is author of several scientific manuscripts, chapters in text books and a frequently invited speaker on local anesthesia and radiology. His scientific interests include head and neck anatomy, local anesthesia in dentistry, dental and maxillofacial radiology and radiography.

Dr. Konstantina Delli

DDS, MSc (Oral Medicine) MSc (Clinical Epidemiology), Dr.med.dent, PhD | Netherlands

Dr. Konstantina Delli completed her specialty training in Oral Medicine and Pathology at the Dental School of Athens, followed by a doctoral degree at the University of Bern and a second PhD at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Additionally, she completed a three-year program in Clinical Epidemiology. DR. Delli research focuses on dry mouth, Sjögren’s disease, oral mucosal disorders, and ultrasonography of the major salivary glands. She currently work as a staff member at the Dental School of Groningen and as an Oral Medicine Specialist at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University Medical Center Groningen, Netherland.

Dr. Marino Sutedjo

Dr. Marino Sutedjo graduated with a BDS from dental School of Trisakti University (Jakarta-Indonesia) at 2003. In the same year he carried out his Master degree from University of Airlangga (Surabaya-Indonesia) in Conservative dentistry and finished his post graduates at 2007. Currently is a Gold member of Style Italiano Endodontics and the first Asian to join. He is a Key Opinion Leader in Endodontic for Indonesia and Asia. His scientific work includes continuous participations in numerous national and international meetings as a lecturer, moderator and workshop instructor. In 2010 he opened a private dental training facility in Surabaya - Indonesia for the purpose of sharing and training exclusively for endodontics and microscope dentistry. He is also the director of this facility. His publications as a co-author of Textbook Retreatments: Solutions for Periapical Diseases of Endodontic Origin in 2020. And in 2022, he is pointed to be a lecturer in The University of Siena - Italy, to teach Master Advanced of Endodontic Program from 2003 until now. Dr. Marino Sutedjo runs a private practice with his wife in Surabaya Indonesia that concerning in endodontics and orthodontics.

Dr. Michael Dieter

DDS | Liechtenstein

Dr. Michael Dieter is a certified dentist from Germany. After his dental certification at the University of Tübingen, he was engaged in research work at the operative department of the same university and subsequently spent 4 years in private dental practice in Germany. Dr. Dieter currently practises esthetic dentistry in a private dental clinic in Switzerland with a major focus on minimally invasive and adhesive dentistry. More than 27 years ago he integrated the CAD/CAM chairside application into his clinical workflow and today he is making use of the latest digital dental technologies. As Head of Direct Restoratives & Prevention Global Education (Ivoclar, Principality of Liechtenstein) he is also directly involved in various development projects for new clinical products, putting him at the forefront of the latest technological developments in modern dentistry. In February 2017 he received the "Best Speaker Award" at the 21st UAE International Dental Conference in Dubai (4000 delegates voted the best out of 200 international speakers).

Prof. Michele Davide Mignogna

MD | Italy

Professor Mignogna is an oral medicine specialist practicing at University Hospital Federico II, Naples, IT. He completed his degree in Medicine from the University of Naples Federico II, IT, in 1984. Then, he completed his residency in Dentistry and in Oncology at University of Naples Federico II, in 1987 and 1990 respectively. Since 2016, he is Full Professor in Oral Pathology at University of Naples Federico II. Since 2002, Prof. Mignogna has been chief of the Oral Medicine Unit, Department of Neuroscience, Reproductive and Odontostomatological Sciences, University of Naples "Federico II" with outpatient and hospitalization activities dedicated to oral medicine. His research interests are: oral cancer, oral potentially malignant disorders, autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering diseases, osteonecrosis of the jaws, and chronic oro-facial pain. On these topics he has published over 230 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Mignogna is the President of the Italian Society of Oral Pathology and Medicine (SIPMO) since 2019, and also the Elected President of the European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM) since 2022.

Prof. Omar Kujan

BDS, DipOpath, MDS, MFDS RCPS, FHEA, FRCPath, FFOMP RCPA, PhD | Australia

Omar Kujan is a Professor and Discipline Lead of Oral Pathology at UWA Dental School. An internationally recognized expert in oral pathology and oncology, he has published over 150 high-impact papers with more than 6000 citations (h-index 40). His pioneering contributions include introducing liquid-based cytology for oral cancer screening, developing a customized Bethesda system for oral brush cytology, and leading the WHO-adopted binary grading system of oral epithelial dysplasia. He co-authored the 2022 WHO Blue Book on Head and Neck Tumours and plays a leading role in the WONDER World Workshop on Oral Medicine. A passionate mentor, he has supervised PhD, DCD, and DMD students to completion. Prof Kujan’s translational research has driven innovation, including novel diagnostic tools with industry partners and NHMRC-funded projects on high-intensity focused ultrasound. Recognized among Stanford’s top 2% of scientists since 2021, he also advocates for community health through clinics, Telehealth, and active consumer involvement in shaping research.

Prof. Sondos Albadri

BDS, PhD, MFDS RCS, MPAEDDent RCS, FDS Paed Dent RCS | United Kingdom

Professor Sondos Albadri holds multiple key positions: Professor and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry and Vice Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies at the University of Liverpool. She is Chair of the Dental Specialty Fellowship Examinations Board, overseeing a new, unified examination system. An elected member and Vice dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS) Board of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, she also chairs its Research Committee. Professor Albadri's research focuses on improving clinical outcomes, patient experience, and care pathways, with a special interest in dental trauma and children with complex health conditions. She is dedicated to advancing dental education and assessment and advocates for equality and diversity in the profession.

Prof. Yoon-Ah Kook

Dr. Abdulhameed Alsarraf

Dr. Abdulhameed is a registered specialist in Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology. He graduated from the UK with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery followed by specialty training in Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology from The University of Western Australia. He achieved the Australian Board of Oral Medicine and became a fellow of the Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia. He authored chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He was admitted as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he is currently the President of Kuwait Association of Oral Medicine and Facial Pain.

Dr. Alaa Bani Hani

BDS, MSc, PhD | United Kingdom

Dr Alaa Bani Hani is a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Kings College Dental Hospital. She is the chair of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Teacher’s Branch, and the Teacher’s Branch representative at the Quality Improvement Research and Committee. In addition, she is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons-Edinburg Specialty Advisory Board in paediatric dentistry and a member of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Media team. Alaa obtained the Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery in 2006. Following that she worked as a General Dental Practitioner for three years before she obtained her clinical masters in Paediatric Dentistry in 2010. In 2016, she was awarded PhD in Peadiatric Dentistry from School of Dentistry, University of Leeds-UK. Following that she was appointed as NIHR funded a Clinical Lecturer and Specialty Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at University of Leeds and Leeds Dental Institute in 2017-2021. Alaa became a specialist in paediatric dentistry in 2021 and a consultant in 2023. Alaa was awarded the first poster prize at the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry in Turin-Italy (2017) for her PhD work and the second poster prize at the Health Education England Academic Presentation Day in York (2017) for Clinical Lecturers category for her collaborative research project “Raised in Yorkshire: Supporting School Children to Undertake Oral Health Projects”. The latter won the University of Leeds Public Engagement award for doing research in partnership in 2017.

Dr. Alessandro Perucchi

Dr. med. dent. Alessandro Perucchi graduated at the University of Bern Switzerland (ZMK) in 2005 and obtained his Doctorate in dental medicine at the same University in 2007. From 2007 to 2010 he worked as medical assistant at the cantonal hospital of Lucern: Maxillofacial surgery clinic and oral surgery under the direction of the PD. Dr med. Dent. Johannes Kuttenberger and obtained in 2011 the title as specialist in Oralsurgery SSO. Since 2012 he worked in his own private dental office and oral surgery at Mendrisio (www.perucchi.dentist). From 2014 is an ITI Speaker. Dr. Perucchi is active in clinical research related to implant surgery, prosthodontics and digital dentistry. His work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. He participates as an invited lecturer in international and national conferences and congresses. Dr. Perucchi is an ITI fellow; founder member of: MINEC Switzerland, DDS (Digital dentistry society) Switzerland and Perucchi Dental Academy. He is an active member of SSO, SSOS, SADMFR and EAO. From 2016 he is teacher at SUPSI (university of applied sciences and arts of southern Switzerland). Since 2022 he is Examiner for the ITI (International Team for Implantology) Diploma in Implant Dentistry. From 2024 he is teacher at Istituto Stomatologico Toscano, UniCamillus Rome and became a faculty member at ILAPEO College, located in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil, as invited Professor in Implantology. Prof. Alvaro Della Bona

As a professional dentist and scientist, I have aggregated worldwide, extensive training and background in both biological sciences and materials science and engineering, with a major in bioceramics. My career in academia and work in the public health system have afforded me the expertise and knowledge base to approach scientific challenges with practical results. The majority of my scientific publications and dental practice relate to dental biomaterials, demonstrating a practical benefit in solving problems for dental patients while advancing dental sciences and technologies. This is a result of my postgraduate and post-doctorate training on dental biomaterials from manufacturing to failure, improving materials’ microstructure and composition, and advancing on fabrication technologies making the best use of biomaterials and dental structures to support oral service. In addition, I have great expertise and experience on additive manufacturing and technology (3D printing), color sciences applied to dentistry, fracture behavior of brittle materials and fractography. As a senior professor and chair of a top Brazilian Postgraduate Program in Dentistry operating in full capacity (30 PhD and 20 Master degree students), I have access to a full-range of research laboratories from medical sciences to materials science and engineering and to dental practice. I have been very active on dental associations worldwide, serving as Treasurer of the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR), President of the Brazilian Group of Dental Materials (GBMD); Past-President of the Academy of Dental Materials (ADM). I have also served as member and chair of several Committees in the IADR, including the secretary and treasurer of the Dental Materials Group (DMG). In the academia, I have experienced several positions, Dean of the Dental School, to vice-President for Research and Post-graduate Studies at the University of Passo Fundo, Brazil. Internationally, I was appointed as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), as Adjunct Senior Scientist at the Houston Center for Biomaterials & Biomimetics (HCBB – UTHSCH), and as Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Anthony Mennito

Dr. Anthony Mennito (Tony) is a private practice dentist as well as an adjunct faculty member at the MUSC College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, South Carolina. His dental practice, Expertise Dental, focuses on using technology to comprehensively care for his patients while helping to enhance the esthetics of their smile. He is an experienced user on multiple digital systems and is heavily reliant on digital design and 3D printing for treatment planning and executing both simple and complex cases. He lectures nationally and internationally and currently has 21 published papers on the topics of digital dentistry and dental materials. In his free time, Tony likes to travel, play soccer and surf.

Dr. Arwa Farag

Dr. Arwa Farag is an Associate Professor/Consultant of Oral Medicine/Orofacial Pain at KAUFD, Jeddah, KSA. She is also a visiting faculty at Tufts University (TUSDM), Boston, USA. Dr. Farag graduated with BDS from King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. She completed her training in oral medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and earned her Doctor of Medical Science from Harvard University. She completed her fellowship in TMD/orofacial pain at TUSDM. Dr. Farag is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Medicine, the American Board of Orofacial Pain. She is the current treasurer of the American Academy of Oral Medicine and a steering member of the World Workshop on Oral Medicine. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the Saudi Board of Oral Medicine Training Programs and a founding member of the Saudi Society of Oral Medicine.

Prof. Asma'a Faden

Asma’a Faden is a Professor/Consultant of Oral Medicine at the College of Dentistry, King Saud University with a PhD in Oral Medicine from Eastman Dental Institute- UCL/ University of London. She has a fellowship in Laser Dentistry, from the University of Genoa/UCL Eastman Dental Institute. For over 25 years, Professor Faden has been deeply involved in teaching theoretical and Clinical aspects of Oral Medicine to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Dental Students. She has also gained significant administrative experience during this time. A founding member of the Saudi Board of Oral Medicine and Pathology in Saudi Arabia (SBOMP), Professor Faden served as the Program Director at King Saud University. She is also an active member of many National and International Dental Societies and has published several articles in highly respected scientific journals. Recently, she was appointed as the President of the Society for Oral Medicine (SOM).

Dr. Carlos Jurado

Dr. Carlos A. Jurado is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Operative Dentistry Division at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry. He earned three residency certificates and a Master of Science in the USA. He received his three-year Prosthodontics specialty certificate and Master of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), completed two years of clinical training in Operative Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC), and obtained a one-year clinical certificate in Restorative Dentistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He initially earned his dental degree from the Universidad Michoacana in Mexico. In the Division of Operative Dentistry, Dr. Jurado supervises nine full-time and twelve part-time faculty members. The division is responsible for all operative dentistry courses for D1 and D2 students, Operative Dentistry procedures for D3 students, and clinical competencies for D4 students. Dr. Jurado is responsible for organizing the faculty clinical schedule, overseeing preclinical courses, and managing curriculum updates. He also provides faculty calibration, mentors faculty on research projects, and supports them in article publications. Additionally, Dr. Jurado supports the teaching of graduate residents in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. Dr. Jurado is deeply involved in dental research, with expertise in CAD/CAM materials, prosthodontics, operative dentistry, and implant dentistry. He has published over 120 peer reviewed articles in journals such as the Journal of Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry, International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, and many others.

Dr. Cristian Scognamiglio

Dr. med. dent. Cristian Scognamiglio graduated with honors at the University of Varese (Italy) in 2018, his final graduation research was published in the international peer-reviewed journal “BMC Oral Health” and was selected as the best research of the year in the field of oral surgery by the SIDP (Italian Society of Parodontology). From 2020 he is working as a clinician at the Dr. Alessandro Perucchi Private Dental Clinic (www.perucchi.dentist) in Mendrisio (Switzerland) and from 2022 collaborator for oral surgery at the Dr. Lorenzo Vanini Private Dental Clinic “Studio Vanini” in Chiasso (Switzerland). Prof. Giovanni Salvi

Giovanni E. Salvi received his license in dental medicine in 1988 from the medical faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland. In 1990 he received his „Dr. med. dent“ degree. Between 1992 and 1994 he was a graduate student in the Department of Periodontology and Fixed Prosthodontics at the University of Bern, Switzerland. From 1994 to 1997 he was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, USA. In 1998 he became a board-certified periodontist. He has been since 1999 a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI). In 2005 he was appointed teacher of the year in the School of Dental Medicine, Bern, Switzerland. Since 2003 he is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Clinical Oral Implants Research. In 2006 he was appointed Associate Editor of Clinical Oral Implants Research. In 2010 he was promoted to Associate Professor at the medical faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland. In 2012 he was awarded the honorary membership of the German Society of Periodontology (DGP) and in 2024 the honorary membership of the Swiss Society of Periodontology (SSP). He is currently the Vice Chairman and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Bern, Switzerland.

Dr. Hassan Hikmat

Prof. Konstantinos Michalakis

Dr. Konstantinos Michalakis graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Soon after he began his 3-year residency in Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He also holds a PhD in Dental Materials from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc degree in Applied Biomechanics from the Department of Bioengineering of the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, an MSc in Experimental and Translational Therapeutics from the Department of Oncology of the University of Oxford, Oxford, UK, and a Certificate in Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals from the Sloan Program in Health Administration, of Cornell University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. In January 2022 he joined Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA, USA, as Professor and Chair of the Department of Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials, and Professor at the Center for Multiscale and Translational Mechanobiology. He has lectured extensively at both national and international meetings and he has published numerous articles in high impact peer-reviewed journals, in his areas of expertise. Prof. Louis Hardan

Prof. Louis Hardan is a full professor at Saint Joseph University (restorative and esthetic department and digital dentistry, AI and evolving technologies department) and owns a private practice in his home town Byblos. He graduated dentistry in 1989 and continued his post-doctoral education at Saint Joseph University; he obtained a certificate for basic science in 1993, he completed his specialization in restorative and esthetic dentistry in 1995, and completed his PhD in oral biology and materials (Esthetic and Prosthetic Dentistry) in 2009. He is an honorary and active international Styleitaliano member and the scientific director of this group.
