Implants placement in esthetic zone (Hands-on)

Placement of implant in the esthetic zone is a continuous educational dental implant course, consisting of advanced lecture and hands-on training workshop in 3i dental implant system ( 3i Biomet) using dummy implants.

Each participant will get the chance to place at least two implants in a plastic jaw, one in the esthetic zone in the upper arch and one in the posterior part of the upper or lower jaw under the guidance of experts and continued assistance

The lecture will elaborate on the important point that has an effect on the success rate of the implant being placed in mind specifically in the esthetic zone. Will also show some clinical cases and also show some rationale behind each and every clinical decision and how treatments are delivered flawlessly and at the same time confidently.

 

 

Course Objectives:

Provide a start-up course for dentists who is interested/working in implantology through an intensive coaching for the participants so they will be able to incorporate their learnings in their daily clinical practice.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the biomechanics of implants and skill development for implant placement in the esthetic zone. The participants should be able to place implants after completion of the workshop thus enabling the participants to master the art of implant placements effortlessly and confidently.

10:00 – 10:30 Hands-on training workshop in 3i dental implant system ( 3i Biomet) using dummy implants.

11:30 – 12:30 Hands-on  training to place one implant  in the posterior part of the upper or lower jaw

This hands-on course is designed for dental professionals seeking to enhance their understanding and skills in the management of root resorption. Participants will engage in practical sessions focusing on the etiology, clinical identification, and therapeutic options for various types of root resorption, including internal, inflammatory, and invasive cervical resorption. Bio:

Currently, Dr. Nicolo D’Ovidio works in one of the most advanced clinics in Kuwait, Crown Dental Center, and recently became the first Restorative iTero speaker for Align Technology in the Middle East.Together with Dr Meshari Al Fouzan he developed a new digital protocol, the “Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Approach” that minimizes the number of teeth and tooth structure to be prepped thanks to the use of the digital eco-system.

Dr. Nicolo was working in dentistry since early age, being an assistant in his father’s Dental clinic in Rome for years.  In 2012 he received Master’s Degree in Prosthodontics at University of Rome Tor Vergata. He attended 2 years Master’s program in Perio with Prof G. Carnevale in Rome and 1 year Master in Implantology with Prof. M. Simion in Milan. Had the chance to shadow Prof A. Scipioni in his private clinic in Rome during surgical sessions for 2 years.  In his career he worked 4 years as a Tutor at University Hospital of Rome Tor Vergata.Since the beginning of his career, he focused on the Digital approach in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry, with publications and studies. Together with his father, they developed New Techniques and Protocols in Aesthetic Dentistry, mainly focusing on the Vertical Preparation Technique and its biological and practical advantages.

Bio:

Dr. Emanuele Cicero is a Former Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is a specialist in Prosthodontics and completed his three year Post-doctoral advanced education training in Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM). Upon completion of his specialty training, in recognition of his academic accomplishments, he had the honor of being selected as a full-time faculty member and appointed Assistant Professor at Tufts University where he contributed to evolving comprehensive dental education that integrates science, technology, patient needs, and lifelong learning in a worldclass environment. Dr. João Meirinhos is from Portugal. He belongs to the new dentists’ generation known especially from the online environment where they frequently share clinical cases.

Dr. Meirinhos finished his master degree in Dental Medicine at Oporto (2014) and he attended the Endodontics Specialty Program at University of Lisbon for 3 years (2016-2019). Bio:

Prof. Andrea Pilloni is a distinguished and highly regarded expert in periodontology, particularly known for his pioneering work in periodontal regeneration using hyaluronic acid (HA). He serves as the head of the Section of Periodontology at Sapienza University of Rome and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Periodontology. Prof. Pilloni’s research and contributions have made significant impacts in the field of dental science and periodontal therapies.

Prof. Pilloni earned his MD and DDS degrees from the University of Rome, Tor Vergata. He further specialized with a Master of Science in Oral Biology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). During his tenure at UCLA, he worked as an assistant researcher in the Dental Anatomy and Oral Biology Department, focusing on the role of HA in bone formation. His groundbreaking research at UCLA demonstrated a seven-fold increase in bone formation with different molecular weights of HA, marking a significant advancement in the field of osteogenesis
