Dr. Krzysztof Chmielewski is a dentist and a specialist in implantology and aesthetic dentistry, Master of Science in Oral Implantology. He graduated from the faculty of dentistry at the Medical Academy in Gdańsk. Since 1996, he has been running his own dental practice specializing in aesthetic dentistry and implantology. Dr. Chmielewski is an unsurpassed specialist, treasury of vast knowledge and elite of world implantology. He is an aesthetic dentistry specialist. Having the background of working in a dental lab on CAD/CAM, she’s working fully guided with surgery in her daily clinical practice, and using digital dentistry to help the Patients in the team she works in.

Dr. Abdulaziz Binrayes received his dental degree (BDS) from King Saud University, College of Dentistry in 2009. Dr. Binrayes joined University of Michigan, School of Dentistry where he obtained his MS and certificate in prosthodontics in 2014. In addition, he earned a PhD degree in Oral Health Science from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 2019. In his research, he showed a new collagen receptor (DDR2) is important for bone regeneration and healing of the bone. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Department of Prosthetic Dental Sciences, King Saud University, College of Dentistry, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Dr. Rawad Samarani earned his Doctor in Dental Surgery Degree at Saint-Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon and he received his Diploma of Higher Studies in Periodontology in the same university. He also obtained Master in Biological and Medical Sciences and Master of Research at Saint Joseph University. Dr. Faisal Al Jofi graduated from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Dammam (formerly known as King Faisal University), College of Dentistry in 2009. He earned his PhD degree in Oral Biology from University of Maryland at Baltimore, USA in 2017. After that, he earned his Clinical Certificate in Periodontics from the prestigious program at University of Washington, Seattle, USA in 2020. Dr. Al Jofi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentist in Canada as he earned the Canadian boards in the specialty of Periodontics in 2021. Currently, Dr. Al Jofi is an Assistant Professor and Consultant in Periodontology and he is also serving as a Program Director in the Fellowship Program in Periodontics at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, College of Dentistry.

Dr. Diaa Almutairi is an Assistant Professor who is the Head of the Dental and Oral Health Department at Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences. She believes that the essence of the dental hygiene profession is preventive care. Raising oral health awareness in the community significantly reduces the prevalence of caries in children. She holds a BS in Dental and Oral Health from Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences, Master’s of Public Health concentrating in Research Epidemiology from Loma Linda University, PhD in Dental Public Health and Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from Queen Mary University of London.

Dr. Muath Aldosari is a Public Health Specialist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health. He is currently an Assistant Professor at King Saud University and a Lecturer at Harvard University. He is also a Consultant at the Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Health and Public Health Authority (Weqaya) Dr. Aldosari's professional background includes rigorous and advanced training in epidemiology and quantitative methods. He has also expanded his scope into health policy and economics to translate research findings into interventions that improve the health of individuals and the public at large.

Dr. Christian Coachman graduated in Dental Technology in 1995 and in Dentistry at the University of São Paulo/Brazil in 2002. He is the president of the Brazilian Society of Esthetic Dentistry and a member of the European and American Academies of Esthetic Dentistry, becoming the only dentist member of 3 of the most important esthetic dentistry academies in the world. In 2004, Dr. Coachman was invited by Drs. Goldstein, Garber, and Salama, to join Team Atlanta as the Head Ceramist of their laboratory – a position he held for 5 years. Dr. Coachman has worked with some of the world’s most renowned dentists, such as Eric Van Dooren (Belgium), Galip Gurel (Turkey), Mauro Fradeani (Italy), Nitzan Bichacho (Israel), Andrea Ricci (Italy), Mario Groisman (Brazil) and Marcelo Calamita (Brazil). Dr. René Daher started working as a teaching and research fellow at the University of Geneva (Geneva, Switzerland in the department of Cariology and Endodontology. He later obtained his doctorate in dental medicine from the same university and his PhD title from the department of dental materials in ACTA (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). In 2020, Dr. René Daher joined Professor Irena Sailer and Professor Ivo Krejci and MDT Vincent Fehmer in the creation of a new multidisciplinary Master’s program in digital dental technologies at the University of Geneva, and became the coordinator and member of its steering committee.

Rachael qualified as a dental hygienist in 2008 and has extensive experience working in the United Kingdom and internationally. Currently, she works as an Education and Public Health Manager at FDI World Dental Federation in Geneva. Rachael achieved her Master’s in Public Health with merit in 2018 and she is currently studying for a Doctorate in Public Health at Teesside University. Rachael was recently awarded the “Early Career Researcher Award” from the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry and “New Research Award” at the International Dental Hygienist Symposium. Rachael is the past-President of Emirates Dental Hygienists Club. Rachael is also a founding member of the Dental Hygienists and Therapists Research Network UK and in 2018 established the charity “Maasai Molar” who provides oral health education and dental care in the Maasai Mara.

He is also appointed as the Senior Policy Fellow at Queen Mary’s Global Policy Institute.

Dr Shiamaa S. AlMashhadani is a Dental Public Health Specialist at the Dubai Academic Health Corporation, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She also holds the position of Senior Specialist Registrar in the dental clinic. She has formally been holding the role of Initiative leader of oral screening and diseases within Oral and Dental Health Strategy 2020-2025 for Dental Services Department, DHA and has worked on the development of the programs, guidelines and projects related to the strategy. She is currently holding the position of expert of Cariology of the Oral Health and Diseases National Committee in UAE.

A British Dental Nurse of over 20 years – Carmen Harvey is a Program Director at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib’s Dental Academy, where she established and remains the Head of the SCFHS Health Academy - Dental Assistant Program. Developing and improving the standards of the Dental Care profession in Riyadh since 2014, whilst remaining focused on Saudisation, the Kingdoms Vision 2030, and mentoring Saudi Arabia’s future leaders in the Dental Assisting field. Academically, Carmen has been a part of Dental Nurse Education and Development for over two decades. She is a national examiner for the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (UK) and a retired Armed Forces member of the British Royal Navy Dental Service where she helped to carry out dentistry operationally worldwide

Mrs. Manal Assiri graduated from King Saud University as a Dental Assistant. She joined Security Forces Hospital and after four years of serving, she became interested in health technology and decided to study health informatics at Saudi Electronic University to support her current career, refine and polish her skills, and discover the combinations between health and technology. In 2017, she joined PNU and became an expert in HIS. She aspires to build and support Health Informatics in dentistry.

Dr. Afnan Al-Zain earned her PhD degree in Dental Sciences from Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. She obtained her Diploma for Professional Development in Teaching and Learning from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2018. Dr. Al-Zain focused on light-curing research. She received several grants from the Deanship of Scientific Research in King Abdulaziz University, with over 15 peer-reviewed publications. She presented over 30 research posters and oral presentations in national and international conferences and received multiple scientific research awards. Currently, Dr. Al-Zain is an Assistant Professor and Consultant in King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Dentistry, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Ms. Hanan Al Shahrani earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Biology from Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University and Diploma in Dental Assisting from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. She is currently working in King Saud for Health and Science University as a Dental Assistant.

Ms. Roqayah Altheyab graduated from the College of Health Sciences in Riyadh. She is a Dental Assistant for more than 17 years. She is working in Al Yamamah Hospital Dental Center and covering all dental specialties with specific experience in Pediatric Dentistry under general anaesthesia in the operating room for more than 6 years. She is a team member of Saudi Board of Pediatric Dentistry Program since 2020. She is also the Coordinator of the Infection Control at Al Yamamah Hospital Dental Center.

Dr. Mohammad Alzahrani is the Vice Dean, Associate Professor and Consultant of Dental Public Health at Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences. Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He was working as a researcher at Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center for a couple of years. He is certified in using Modeling and Simulation in Dental Education. In addition, he obtained a high diploma in JCI Quality Management and Patient Safety. He works as Academic Accreditation Consultant and Reviewer with NCAAA. He is the President of Saudi Dental Hygienist Society and has attended many National and International conferences as a speaker. He has more than 27 years of experience of teaching in higher education.

Dr. Denis Bourgeois is Professor of Public Health at the University of Lyon, France. He has a high level of international expertise having worked for the World Health Organization, the European Commission and professional organizations such as the World Dental Federation. Former dean of the dental faculty, periodontist, he develops international research projects focused on chronic diseases, health and oral microbiota. His work is currently an authority in the field of personal prophylaxis.

Dr. Elias Berdouses received his Dental and PhD degrees from the University of Athens, Dental School and his Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry and Masters from Rutgers University, USA. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Ajman University. He has also worked at the Athens, Dental School and the European University College in Dubai. He has participated in two European research projects funded by EU and in two national pathfinder studies for oral health status of Greek population. Dr. Berdouses has served as Secretary and Vice-President of the Hellenic Society of Paediatric Dentistry and as Secretary, President Elect and President of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry. Currently he is Past President of the EAPD.

Dr. Khaled Ekram earned his Bachelor of Oral and Dental Medicine degree from Cairo University in 2002. He was awarded the Master’s Degree (MSc) and Doctor’s Degree (PhD) of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Cairo University in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He is also a DHA certified OMF Radiology Specialist in Dubai, UAE. Dr. Ekram is the Ambassador of DDS (Digital Dentistry Society) in Egypt. He is also an Instructor and active member of Digital Dental Craftsmen, an education group specialized in Digital Dentistry courses and online lecturers. He is a reviewer and member in the editorial board in the Journal of Dentistry and Oral Sciences. Currently, Dr. Ekram is in Private Practice, he is the co-owner and Director of Prof. Mohamed Ekram Dental Radiodiagnostic and Digital Dental Centers in the Middle East both branches Dubai and Cairo.

Prof. Escudier completed undergraduate dental and medical training at Guy’s Dental Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital before returning to KCL where he completed oral medicine specialist training in 2002 and he was appointed Honorary Consultant to GSTT in 2003. He completed a doctorate on the use of lithotripsy in the management of salivary calculi and leads the multi-disciplinary salivary and orofacial granulomatosis clinics as well as an oro-facial pain clinic. Prof. Escudier has published widely on the management of obstructive salivary gland disease, oro-facial granulomatosis as well as other oral mucosal diseases and assessment. Prof. Michael Escudier is the Executive Dean at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences. He is a Professor of Oral Medicine and Education at King’s College London. He is an Honorary Consultant Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and President of European Association of Oral Medicine.

Dr. Al-Mohaya has obtained her American Board of Oral Medicine in 2005. It was awarded by American Academy of Oral Medicine (As the First Saudi Doctor who obtained the American Board of Oral Medicine). She completed her Doctorate of Medical Science in Oral Biology from Harvard University. In 2016, she got her fellowship of Laser Therapy in Dentistry from Aachen University/Germany. Dr. Al-Mohaya established Oral Medicine and Special Care Dentistry in the Dental Center at Prince Sultan Military Medical City. She is also the founder of the Saudi Board of Oral Medicine & Pathology Program in 2017. Currently, Dr. Al-Mohaya works as a Medical Admin Consultant at MSD, the Chairman of Dental Research Group in Prince Sultan Military Medical City and the Chairman of the Scientific Council of Oral Medicine & Pathology at Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Dr. Arwa Farag graduated from King Saud University. She completed her residency in oral medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and earned her Doctor of Medical Science from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She completed her fellowship in TMD/orofacial pain at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Farag is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Medicine and the American Board of Orofacial Pain. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh. Currently, Dr. Arwa Farag is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Oral Medicine, Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences at King AbdulAziz University, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Alessandro Villa is the President of Oral Medicine Associates, PA and Chief of Oral Medicine, Oral Oncology and Dentistry at the Miami Cancer Institute. He is also a Professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Prior to coming to Miami Cancer in 2022, Dr. Villa was an Associate Clinical Professor at University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He also directed the oral medicine residencies at UCSF and Harvard. Dr. Villa’s research focuses on oral dysplasia, and oral complications from cancer therapy. He works closely with several organizations to reduce the burden of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) related cancers. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr. Alessandro Villa is the President of Oral Medicine Associates, PA and Chief of Oral Medicine, Oral Oncology and Dentistry at the Miami Cancer Institute. He is also a Professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Prior to coming to Miami Cancer in 2022, Dr. Villa was an Associate Clinical Professor at University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He also directed the oral medicine residencies at UCSF and Harvard. Dr. Villa’s research focuses on oral dysplasia, and oral complications from cancer therapy. He works closely with several organizations to reduce the burden of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) related cancers. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr. Deema Ali Al-Shammery is the Chair of IADR Africa and Middle East Region; she is Associate Professor in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She is the Vice Dean of College of Dentistry and Director of Research and Innovation Center in Riyadh Elm University. Dr. Alshammary participated as a keynote speaker in multiple national, regional and international conferences, supervised multiple master thesis and published over 30 papers. She is reviewer at multiple web of science Q1, Q2 journals and she is Associate Editor at the Saudi journal of oral science, she is the co-founder of summer research school program at Riyadh Elm University, she was selected by center for government communications as one among top 100 Saudi female leaders who represent the Saudi Arabia regionally and internationally.

Dr. Nabeel Almotairy is an Assistant Professor and Head in Department of Orthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry, College of Dentistry, Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. His research interests are towards orthodontic treatment benefits and implications of orthodontic-related problems in patients’ psycho-social development, oral health and quality of life. Dr. Almotairy has published and reviewed several scientific articles published in prestigious journals.

Dr. Khlood Baghlaf earned her BDS Degree and Master and Clinical Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She obtained her PhD in Dental Public Health and Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching Higher Education from Queen Mary University in United Kingdom. In 2022, she got her Diploma for Professional Development in Teaching and Learning from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Currently, Dr. Baghlaf is an Assistant Professor and Consultant in Pediatric Dentistry at King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Dentistry, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Hesham Alhazmi is a dual board-certified in Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery Degree from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. After that, he earned a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science Degree from Tufts University. He earned a certificate in Dental Public Health and a Doctor of Medical Sciences Degree from Harvard University. Currently, Dr. Alhazmi is an Assistant Professor at Umm Al-Qura University, Department of Preventive Dentistry. Also, he is a part-time lecturer at Harvard University, Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology.

Dr Saleh Alghabban is Senior Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, trained at the Royal London Hospital in 1993 on the use of laser in dentistry. Obtained the degree of MSc in 1995 and PhD from London University in 1998, in comparison of laser wavelengths applications. Working in Medicolase Centre, as the 1st dentist in Middle East with laser experience of almost 30 years. Providing laser courses locally and internationally.

Dr. Lamya Mahmood is a Bahraini entrepreneur, investor and businesswoman. She is a pioneer in the field of laser dentistry in the GCC, CEO and owner to 3 dental centers, Founder and Managing Director of Medline Medical Equipment and Medline Dental Laboratories in Bahrain. Dr. Lamya’s investments expand globally, as she is also the Founder and Owner of Dr. Lamya’s LLC; a properties management and investments company in USA. Dr. Lamya is the Vice President of the Health Committee in Chamber of Commerce Bahrain, Member of The Development and Training Committee at Bahrain Supreme Council of Health, Board Member of Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organization and a Founding member of The Bahrain Dental Society.

Dr. Dimitris Strakas was born in Volos Greece, where he has a private laser dental clinic since 2003. He completed his studies in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry, in RWTH Aachen University. He received his PhD in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Operative Dentistry. Since 2007 he is an adjunct faculty member and lecturer of the Aachen Dental Laser Center (AALZ) at RWTH Aachen University and from 2009 the Scientific Director of AALZ Greece. This is the Greek branch of Aachen Dental Laser Center, providing Certified Education to dentists, with Seminars, Workshops, Mastership Courses and MSc studies in the fields of Laser Dentistry and Laser Safety.

Dr. Youssef Sedky specialized in Orthodontics where he received his MSc. & Ph.D. Later he got his mastership in ‘lasers in Dentistry’ then he received his MSc. Degree from RWTH, Aachen University. He is an academic co-worker with Aachen Dental Laser Center, where he lectures in the mastership & Master of Science programs. Dr. Sedky is an executive board member in the International Society for Lasers in Dentistry and member of the Egyptian Orthodontic Society.
