From Tiny to Mega: A Comprehensive Approach to Childhood Caries Management (Hands-On)
Course Objectives:
- Diagnose and assess carious lesions effectively using clinical and radiographic tools
- Apply minimally invasive techniques such as Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF), SMART restorations, and Interim Therapeutic Restorations (ITR) to preserve tooth structure and maintain pulp vitality.
- Utilize bioactive restorative materials like Glass Ionomer, SMART restorations, and injectable composites to restore function and aesthetics in primary teeth.
- Perform advanced endodontic procedures, including the use of rotary systems and Lesion Sterilization and Tissue Repair (LSTR) techniques, to manage severely decayed or abscessed primary teeth.
- Analyze clinical successes and failures through clinical scenarios, enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills for complex pediatric cases.

Bio:
Dr. Ahmed Fawzy is a Consultant Pediatric Dentist with 24+ years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and international lecturing. He holds a Ph.D. in Pediatric Dentistry and runs The Dental Land Clinic in Cairo. He is also Secretary General of the Egyptian Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Children with Special Needs (ESPSN) and a sought-after speaker and dental photography educator worldwide.
