Description:
- Open to Dental students, interns, graduate students, general dentists, specialists, hygienists, assistants, and dental lab technicians.
- Electronic poster or E-Poster is similar to a traditional paper poster but displayed on a large LCD television screen. This is not a paper/printed poster. It will be viewed at the E-Poster Stations throughout the Conference.
- Each E-Poster must be submitted as a single page PDF document with a size of 3840 pixels (Height) x 2160 pixels (Width) in Vertical/Portrait Orientation.
Requirements:
- Abstract submission**
- A full research manuscript (in non-thesis format) must accompany the abstract if you are running for the Award.
- A plagiarism report must be submitted if running for the award. The maximum allowed similarity index is 20% for E-Poster Research manuscript submissions.
Abstract Submission Rules:
- Submitters must be active SDS members by November 2025.
- Abstracts must be submitted through the official online portal
Abstract structure must include: - Abstract should not exceed 300 words
- Must include: Title, Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion
- Only original, unpublished work is accepted
- One submission per presenter
- All accepted posters must follow the official SIDC e-poster format (to follow the template provided by SDS).
- Blinded (no author names or affiliations) within the abstract
- Abstracts must be original: not previously published or presented
- Under exceptional circumstances, partially published data or submitted for
publication research may be accepted with justification. - Duplicate submissions (i.e., the same abstract submitted by multiple authors or submitted to multiple categories) will result in disqualification.
- A signed agreement form from all co-authors is required
- Plagiarized content or incomplete research will not be accepted.
- Abstracts will be reviewed as submitted by the deadline; no post-submission edits
will be allowed.
Ethical & IRB Requirements:
- All research must be conducted following established ethical standards, evidence-based practice, and local regulations.
- Authors must confirm that their study obtained Institutional Review Board (IRB)
approval, if applicable* - IRB approval documentation may be requested at any stage of review or evaluation
Any ethical violations or lack of documentation may result in exclusion from the
program
Submission Requirements (Post-Acceptance):
- Accepted authors must submit:
o A PowerPoint presentation (PPT) for the Award finalist.
o A PDF version of the poster for the Award finalist and the poster display.
Within 2 weeks of the acceptance email
Late submissions may lead to disqualification
