Dr. Ronaldo Hirata

Ronaldo Hirata is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomaterials at New York University, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Cariology. He has published over 100 papers in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. His first book, TIPS, was published in three languages, and his second book, SHORTCUTS, was also published in three languages. Dr. Hirata just launched his new book, "Recipes for Composite Restorations," from Quintessence Publishing in three languages, including English. This textbook provides "recipes" with the ingredients and instruments necessary to execute 26 restorations.

Prof. Carlo Ercoli

Dr. Carlo Ercoli is Professor of Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Implant Surgery and Chairman of the Prosthodontic Department at the University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health where he also serves as the Director for the Center of Excellence for Digital Dentistry and Associate Director for Strategy and Innovations. He graduated from the “Enrico Berlinguer” Dental Technology Institute in Rome in 1987 and obtained his DDS from the University of Siena, Italy in 1993. He specialized in Prosthodontics in 1996 at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York and completed a specialty training in Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders in 1997. In 2012, he achieved specialty certification in Periodontology. In 2019, he obtained his MBA from the Simon Business School of the University of Rochester. Dr. Ercoli is a Past President of the American Prosthodontic Society.

Prof. Sompop Bencharit

Dr. Sompop Bencharit is a leading figure in dentistry, serving as Professor, Associate Dean for Innovation, and Chief Innovation Officer at High Point University's Workman School of Dental Medicine. He previously held prominent roles at MUSC College of Dental Medicine and VCU. He earned his DDS and Diploma in Prosthodontics from Chulalongkorn University and advanced his studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, obtaining a Master’s and PhD in Prosthodontics and Oral Biology. A Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, he is also a Fellow of the ACP, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and International College of Dentists. Dr. Bencharit received the 2021 ACP Distinguished Researcher award and has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles. Prof. Wei-Shao Lin

Dr. Wei-Shao Lin is a tenured Professor, Chair, at the Department of Prosthodontics; Co-Director of the ITI Scholarship Center, at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He received a DDS in 2003 from Chung-Shan Medical University, Taiwan; a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Certificate in Surgical Implant Fellowship at the University of Rochester in 2010. Dr. Lin also received PhD in Educational Leadership and Organization Development at the University of Louisville in 2020, and an MBA at the University of Southern Indiana in 2022. Dr. Lin has published more than 100 research and clinical articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Lin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the American College of Prosthodontists. He is an associate editor for the Journal of Prosthodontics. He maintains an intramural dental implant and prosthodontics practice at the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Prof. Nikolaos Donos

Professor Nikos Donos is the Director of Research, Professor & Chair of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, at the Centre for Oral Clinical Research (COCR), Institute of Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). In 2024, Prof. Donos was awarded the prestigious International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Distinguished Scientist in Periodontal Disease Award and the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) Distinguished Scientist Award. In 2011, he was presented with the IADR- Periodontology Group award in Periodontal Regenerative Medicine and in 2019 the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Clinical Research Award for his contribution as co-author. In 2004, Professor Donos was awarded the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO)- Basic Science Research Award. Prof. Donos has published more than 275 peer reviewed publications, is the editor of 5 textbooks and author/co-author of 15 book chapters in the field of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.

Prof. Vineet Dhar

Dr. Dhar is a clinical professor and chair of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry and assistant dean of postgraduate and professional studies at University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He currently serves as the Director of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). He also serves the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) as Member of the Editorial Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the Evidence-Based Dentistry Committee, and as a Consultant of the Council on Scientific Affairs. In addition, Dr. Dhar serves the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) as the Chair of Science Committee. Dr. Dimitrios Michelogiannakis

Dr. Dimitrios Michelogiannakis serves as an Associate Professor and Program Director at the Department of Orthodontics, Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH), University of Rochester, NY. He received his dental degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Dentistry in 2012, and completed a 3-year specialty training program in Orthodontics and received a Master of Science degree in Dental Science in 2017 at EIOH. Dr. Michelogiannakis is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and a member of the prestigious Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists.
