Dr. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos is Assistant Professor in Orthodontics at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed College
of Dental Medicine, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai, United Arab
He received his Dental Degree and Master of Science in Orthodontics from the Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki, Greece and also possesses a Master of Arts in Healthcare Management from the Open
University of Cyprus and a Certificate in Preventive and Community Dentistry from the Aristotle University
of Thessaloniki. His PhD thesis was undertaken at the Department of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of
Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on the topic of mandibular condyle development.
Dr. Kaklamanos’ research interests include the development of the craniofacial skeleton, the effectiveness,
efficiency and safety of various clinical procedures, evidence based dentistry, socio-economic and patient
reported outcome evaluation of dental and orthodontic treatment modalities, as well as, study design and
statistical issues relative to the research carried in dental science. To date, his research activities have
resulted in more than 45 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, receiving 543 citations in the
international literature (H index 12), and over 110 abstracts in conferences, invited presentations and
courses. Moreover, he has supervised 14 MSc Theses, serves as referee in several scientific journals and is
the Editor-in-Chief of the “Hellenic Orthodontic Review”.
Dr. Kaklamanos was awarded as the valedictorian in his graduating class and has received honoraria,
scholarships, distinctions and awards from the American Association of Orthodontists, the Alexander S.
Onassis Foundation, as well as various governmental, academic, professional and scientific organizations.
Dr. Kaklamanos was involved as adjunct faculty in research, teaching and clinical activities at both the
undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Faculty of Dentistry (Departments of Orthodontics, Pediatric
Dentistry, Preventive Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) and the Postgraduate Program
Contemporary Medical Practice: Legal Regulation and Bioethical Dimensions organized by the Faculties of
Medicine, Dentistry and Law, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
